Living in Colorado means you don’t just deal with the normal wear and tear on your house, you deal with wild weather too. One day its sunny, next day it snows out of no where. That’s why painting here is a little different. If you want your paint to last and look good, timing and prep makes all the diff.
Spring Painting
Spring can be a great time, mostly late spring when the temps get stable. Just watch out for rain. I’ve seen jobs get ruined cause paint was still drying when a storm hit. At Windsor Painting we always keep an eye on weather apps before we even pop open a can.
Summer Painting
Summer’s fine too but dang it gets hot, especially mid-day. Paint can dry too fast, leaving marks or not bonding right. If you plan to paint, mornings or evenings are best. A lot of our Residential and Commercial Painting Services get scheduled for early summer before that crazy heat kicks in.
Fall Painting
Honestly fall might be the best season. Cooler temps, less rain, and the paint has time to cure proper. September and October is when we at Windsor Painting get the most calls, cause people want their house looking sharp before winter holidays.
Winter Painting
Exterior painting in winter? Not a great idea. Unless you’re using special low-temp paints, it just don’t work right. Inside painting though, that’s no problem at all. Actually lots of homeowners call us during winter for interior jobs since they’re stuck indoors anyway.
Wrap Up
Every season got pros and cons, but if you want the job done right, spring and fall are usually the sweet spot in Colorado. Don’t cut corners on prep and don’t ignore the weather, that’s how paint jobs fail fast.
Windsor Painting has been handling Residential and Commercial Painting Services in Colorado for years. We know what works and what don’t, and we’ll make sure your place looks good no matter what season you choose.
